A Symposium was organized by the Department of Zoology on ‘The Critically Endangered Indian Vulture, its Conservation and management’ on 27th February 2023. Dr. Kamala Kanta Borah, Principal, Mangaldai College has inaugurated the event highlighting the significance of vultures saying that they are considered natural sweepers. The resource person was Mrunmay Pravin Desai, Conservation Biologist, Bombay Natural History Society. Mr. Desai delivered his lecture in a detailed and interesting way focusing on the types of vultures and their conservation with the help of videos. Moreover, a quiz was held among the students and prizes were distributed. The event was successful with the active participation of 72 students and all the faculties of the college.
