A two-day ACTAsponsored National Seminar on “National Education Policy 2020: Transforming Vision into Action” was held at Mangaldai College on 23rdand 24thJune, 2023 on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee of ACTA, organised by Mangaldai College Teacher’s Unit in collaboration with Darrang-Udalguri Zone, ACTA. The seminar started with the lightening of lamp and welcome speech of Dr. Runjun Devi, Associate Professor, Department of English and President, MCTU where she encouraged the esteemed members of ACTA to come up with solutions for strengthening the association altogether followed by the inaugural speech ofDr. Kamala Kanta Borah, Principal, Mangaldai College, where he highlighted the significance of creativity and innovation provided in NEP2020 for the holistic growth of a student. The keynote speaker Prof. Madhurjya Prasad Borah,Department of Physics, Gauhati University enlightened the gathering with a detailed focus on liberal education, course structure and the importance of NEP 2020. Dr. Anupam Dutta, Associate Professor, Department of English, Borbhag College and former Academic Secretary, ACTA stressed upon the role of National Mission for Mentoring of Teachers (NMM) and encouraged for registration in Academic Bank of Credits. Prof. Sujit Deka, Department of Geography, Dean, faculty of Science & Technology and Director of IQAC, Bodoland University delivered a detailed lecture on the importance of Indian Knowledge System in the light of NEP 2020. Dr. Prasanna Kr. Nath, Associate Professor, Department of Assamese, SipajharCollege and President, Darrang-Udalguri Zone,ACTA delivered his speech mentioning the importance of unity for strengthening the ACTA. In the final session, Prof. RupamKataki, Department of Energy, Tezpur University and Director, IQAC, Tezpur University provided insights into the important aspects of Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and suggested various measures to uplift and create a distinctiveness in every sphere of the college.Altogeth
