A Mushroom cultivation unit has been established for academic, social, commercial and skill- based upliftment purposes at Mangaldai College by IQAC, Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Department of Botany, Mangaldai College. The Unit was inaugurated on 22th September 2023 by the Principal, Dr. K. K. Borah in the presence of IQAC coordinator, Dr. Santosh Borkakati, faculty members and students of the college. Dr. Rajreepa Talukdar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Botany, is entrusted with the co-ordinatorship of the unit. It is an attempt towards sustainability and development of Skill among the students. The aim of the mushroom unit is to cultivate economic empowerment and sustainable agriculture for providing a nutritious and eco-friendly food source.
