A speech competition was organized by the Girls’ Common Room, Mangaldai College Students’ Union 23-24 on 25.11.2023 at the college premise. The topic of the speech competition was “My obligations towards Girls’ Common Room” and the duration was 2 minutes. A total of 15 students took part in the competition. The judge of the competition was Dr. Manju Kalita, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, Mangaldai College and Pritimoni Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Mangaldai College. The event was successful with the active participation of both the faculty members and students. Objectives: The competition was organized with the following objectives: 1. Promoting awareness about the necessity of secure environment for girls. 2. Emphasizing the importance of common room as a platform for constructive discussions and building community. 3. Celebrate diversity and promote inclusive growth. Outcome: To promote a sense of belonginess towards the Girls’ Common Room and to boost confidence regarding public speaking and building competitive spirit.
