The Sanskrit Department of Mangaldai College was started at intermediate level in the year 1951. Then it was introduced at undergraduate level in the year1969. Major course was introduced in the year 1998. The founder HOD of the Department was Dharmanath Shastri. In every year, Sanskrit Department is producing a number of graduates with major in Sanskrit. The main strength of the Department is its good result.
