Every Friday, the department of Physics has been carrying out FRIDAY SEMINAR where students give presentations on topics both in and out of syllabus. The seminar started on 30th August 2022 and since then it has been continued every week.

The 2nd and 6th semester students of Department of Physics, Mangaldai College were taken on an educational tour to Centre of Plasma Physics – Institute for Plasma Research (CPP_IPR), Sonapur, Assam on 27th of June, 2023 .

The students were given experimental demonstration of some plasma related experiments. Such exposures are necessary to widen their knowledge and instill in the minds of the youths, the urge to carry out a research in interesting arenas of Physics.
The Department of Physics, Mangaldai College organised “DEEKSHARAMBH” a one-week Student’s Induction Programme at the beginning of the odd semester for the 1st semester students FROM 1-08-2023 to 05-08-2023 where the students were given orientation on various academic aspects like Academic Bank of Credit (ABC), NEP 2020, College Rules and Regulations, Course Structure etc.

POSTER PRESENTATION AT GAUHATI UNIVERSITY
The students from Department of Physics, Mangaldai College participated in the “Celebration of Foundation Day’’ at Department of Physics, Gauhati University on 21st of February 2023. The students from 2nd, 4th and 6th Sem presented three posters with each group consisting of 3 students. It was a nice exposure and experience for the students. They got the chance to interact with the professors and research scholars and exchange their ideas with them.

MODEL COMPETITION ON THE OCCASION OF NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY
The National Science Day was also observed in the Department of Physics, Mangaldai College with great enthusiasm and it was good to see that this time a large no of participants turned up to make the event a successful one.
A model competition was arranged among different departments of Mangaldai College. It was good to see that a large number of participants took part in the competition and came up with new ideas and very interesting models having impacts in day to day life
